Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Joseph and I have been realizing that we need to take advantage of all the popular vacation places within reasonable driving distance of Eastern Idaho.  So, when my good friend from home, Molly, said she would be in Jackson Hole, WY for Christmas visiting her aunt, we decided to make a weekend vacation out of it!

On Saturday the 22nd, we took a sleigh ride through an elk refuge.  We saw a bald eagle and some ginormous elk.

After the sleigh ride, we met Molly and her aunt on the Square in downtown Jackson for dinner at         The Wort Hotel.  They served the most delicious corn chowder I've ever tasted.

After church on Sunday, we got to meet up with one of my old roommates, Natalie, from Driggs, Idaho.  What a blessing to get to see friends everywhere you go.

On Christmas Eve, we hit the slopes at Grand Targhee in the Tetons.  It was the BEST powder Joseph and I had ever skied in.  It was a really snowy day and when you were riding on the lift to the top of the mountain, you couldn't see more than two chairlifts in front of you.
